Charity clothes sale helps beat loneliness

A huge ‘thank you!’ goes to one of our dedicated volunteers, Natalie Wheeler, who organised a clothes sale in aid of Marmalade Trust and raised a whooping £190.

Natalie said: “Rather than take my unwanted cloths to a charity shop I decided to set up shop in my home. Friends donated clothes too so we had a great mix to choose from. I provided drinks and nibbles too, it was a really fun evening.”

As well as raising vital funds to enable us to take lonely and isolated people in Bristol and South Gloucestershire out for Christmas Day lunch, Natalie is one of our team of volunteers who enable us to make Christmas Day so special.

She continued: “I’m volunteering for Marmalade this year and really wanted to raise money too. As a Bristol resident it’s nice to support a local charity. I knew a lovely elderly man who sadly passed away this year and I’m sure he would have loved to have been a Marmalade guest so this is for him.”
