Our summer party!

During Loneliness Awareness Week 2024, we were delighted to host a joyous summer party event in Bristol. We want to take a moment to give a big shoutout and loads of love to everyone who made this event a huge success. 🤗

Loneliness Awareness Week (10 - 16 June 2024) is an annual campaign run by Marmalade Trust. We host the summer garden party for members and volunteers of the Marmalade Companions project to come together. It's a celebration combining tea, cake, live music and speeches.

This event marked a special occasion for members and volunteers of the Marmalade Companions project to come together, connecting face-to-face for the first time. As we express our gratitude to all those who attended, we also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the individuals and organisations that played a vital role in making this event a memorable success! Your contributions were invaluable and deeply appreciated:

• Jo Woodcock was our fantastic Event Coordinator

• Bonnie Middleton from Enviral skilfully captured the essence of the party through her lens

• Lush supplied some fantastic bath bombs as thank you gifts for our members

• Alice Cunningham generously put together beautiful boxes of cookies for our volunteers as a thank you, as well as handmade chocolate orange fudge for our entire team as a thank you. Absolutely delicious and so kind.

• Volunteers from Natwest and JLL helped make this event so special

• Tara Baggott provided brilliant live music

• Cakesmiths and  Beccas Bouqcakes donated yummy cakes
