Marmalade Trust policies
This personal data policy sets out how Marmalade Trust uses and protects any information that you provide when engaging with Marmalade Trust services, and underlines Marmalade’s commitment to ensuring that your privacy is protected.
Information we collect
We collect personal data when you submit a volunteer application form. This can include contact details, personal information (e.g. date of birth, gender and ethnicity), essential health information and recruitment information such as reference and ID checks.
All health data is seen as ‘special category’ or ‘sensitive data’ under the 2018 Data Protection Act which means that it is shared and processed with particular care.

Marmalade Trust will not share your data with third parties or other organisations without your explicit consent.
Where is your data transferred and stored?
Your personal data is transferred and stored on Marmalade Trust’s secure database and secure Drive.
How long is your personal data retained?
Personal data is retained for six years after volunteering with the Marmalade Trust; however, you can ask for your personal data to be removed at any point. See the section on how you can request for your personal data to be removed.
